Uruguay, 2004

Even though we were humbled by the warm welcome we received from the people in Uruguay, we found a  hunger for God's word.  The children we encountered were desperately poor. They were only able to get one  meal a day and needed clothing, money and medicine.  We met a pastor's wife in need of a washer and dryer,  and a young pastor-in-training who needed financial assistance to go to Seminary.  Their needs were abundant  and God provided ways to help us fulfill each one.  We were blessed by a choir who sang to us and by the  amazing attendance at our concerts.  We were humbled to  later discover our performance at the Teatro  Larrañaga Opera House was filled to capacity, which had not occurred in over 120 years.
